Dermal Fillers FAQ’s
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance that is produced by the body. Hyaluronic transfers essential nutrients from the bloodstream to the skin cells, while bringing in hydration and adding volume to the skin.
Once the HA gel is injected, it supports the facial structures and tissues that may have lost elasticity or volume. It helps to bring water to the surface of the skin, keeping the skin supple and fresh-looking.
Dermal fillers can last up to 12 months but patients can have treatments when they feel it is necessary and always after a comprehensive consultation with one of our team.
There are a range of dermal fillers but lip fillers are specifically designed to be injected into the lip to plump, reshape and enhance them. Lip fillers are made to give a more natural and subtle finish.
Tear trough fillers are used to smooth and minimise the appearance of under-eye bags and hollows, resulting in a fresh and bright appearance around the eyes.
Sunken cheeks can give a skeletal appearance and as we get older this is more common. Dermal cheek fillers are an injectable that is injected into your cheek muscles. The solution is designed to fill out your face and act as a plumping mechanism that is responsible for youthful-looking cheeks.
